Phuket is an island in Thailand neither of us visited before. Probably because it’s known for being a party island, but during our visit, we find there’s another side to Phuket, and we find beauty and peace.
It’s an island you should definitely visit too, it has a lot to offer. To make our stay even better, we stay at the most LGBTQ-friendly hotel on the island: CC’s Hideaway.
CC’s Hideaway is gay owned and also many of their employees are LGBT. They host many gay events like drag shows and gay pool parties. Sounds awesome, right?! Let’s tell you everything about our fabulous stay at CC’s Hideaway in Phuket.
SEAVIEW
CC’s Hideaway is located on a hill in Kata, close to both Kata & Karon beach. We can hear your worries: a hill? I’m not gonna walk that hill every time I go to the beach.
No worries, CC’s Hideaway got you covered. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to go places: the beaches or just into town for food, wherever you like to go to in the area!
CC’s Hideaway’s location makes for a great view of the ocean and the best part: you are close to all the chaos of Phuket (Patong for example) but the hotel is nothing but peace & relax vibes, you’re literally above the crowds.
Tip: coming from the airport, make sure they drop you off at the hotel instead of the bottom of the hill!
RECEPTION
From the moment we enter the hotel we feel at home. We are welcomed with open arms, get a drink called Butterfly Pee (how fabulous, it’s a lavender drink) and get those amazing refresh towel – we love it.
The style of the interior of the hotel is a combination of traditional & authentic Thai. And as soon as we spot the swimming pool, we can’t wait to jump in it!
THE ROOM
If you know us, you’d know we’re happy with very little. So as soon as we enter the room and see swan towel art on the bed we’re already jumping of joy.
The room has everything we need and we love all the cosy decorations. To make it even better: the bed is super comfy!
There’s also a small balcony with two chairs and a small table – perfect to get some work done too. Another thing that makes us (especially Maartje) super happy: free cups of coffee (room service!) are only a phone call away.
And for the single travellers (and adventurous couples): you can have a guest over free of charge!
BREAKFAST
The breakfast is delicious. It’s a small buffet and there’s a menu you can order from. We got yummy omelettes with everything, pancakes, potatoes and more. There’s something for everyone!

THE SWIMMING POOL
The highlight for us is the swimming pool with its colourful balls and orca floaty. It’s perfect to cool off and to relax on the comfy loungers. We can totally see a concert and party would be very cool here!
