As the fourth largest country in the world, a 30-day visa to China is not enough. Nevertheless it is possible to see a little bit of everything. During one trip you can travel by train from Beijing in the North, to Shenzhen in the South, to Shanghai in the West. And you can see a lot! This is our first travel vlog of China.
Honestly, China has never been our number one country on our wishlist. What a mistake! As soon as we arrive in the incredible (green!) country, we fall in love. It amazes us and we decide to do something different. We decide to not make a written travel journal, but a travel vlog about our adventures. So you can enjoy the journey with us audio-visually!
In the first two weeks we explore Beijing and Chengdu. In Beijing we figure out how to go to the Mutianyu Great Wall by local transport and we see the big Forbidden City. After a long train ride on third class hard seats we arrive in Chengdu: panda-heaven! And not only are there Panda’s in the research base, there are panda-related things all over Chengdu. And we find out Chengdu has amazing food: hotpot.
After Chengdu it takes another long train ride -- with transfer -- to get to Zhangjiajie. And it is so worth it! Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is as magical as the floating Avatar-mountains they made off of it. Maybe even more special in real life! Without giving away too many spoilers, here is our video!
Of course you want to see Part II as well, you can find it here!
